New shipping case configuration
exceeds new DOD requirements of 7 magazines per rifle for all troops being
deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Designed for and currently used in numerous abusive applications by the U.S. Armed Forces and
Law Enforcement agencies. The
bottom cushion is made out of closed cell Polyethylene foam (meets the Fed-Spec
1752) and it is factory pre-cut with the exact fit for two M-16's
(standard issue)
plus compartments for 18 magazines, saving the customer several
hours of cutting and gluing pieces together.
This
field testing has proven that they are indestructible, with a seal so tight,
they are
100% watertight to more than 30 feet.
Dual locking flanges allow you to secure your case with a padlock. You can confidently travel the most severe environments, from the humid conditions of the Amazon to the extreme, bitter cold
temperatures of Antarctica with complete ease of mind. Upper cushion is convoluted open
cell Polyurethane foam (egg-crate style). Bottom cushion is made out of closed
soft cell Polyethylene foam for long lasting durability and protection.
Polyethylene foam is waterproof and it will not get affected by solvents or
oils.
Case carries the
Pelican legendary "Unconditional Lifetime Guarantee" You break it,
we replace it... forever
Frequently
asked questions by Overseas Military Case Shoppers
What
is an APO address or an FPO address?
APO
stands for "Army Post Office," and is associated with U.S. Army or
U.S. Air Force installations. FPO stands for "Fleet Post Office," and
is associated with U.S. Navy installations and ships.
Is
Priority Mail the only way to go?
If we ship your pelican case to your APO/FPO address using standard or
"surface" mail, it will likely be a while before you see it. This is
because all Priority Mail eventually makes its way onto an airplane. Surface
mail does not. Sending a package via surface mail may take up to 8 weeks because
it will be placed on a ship instead of a plane.
